President Obama will announce a jobs proposal that is too expensive and that he knows will not pass in the House. The job he wants to save is his own and he believes he can only do this by dividing the nation, ramping up the rhetoric and claiming martyrdom. My plan to reduce unemployment is simple: End the extended unemployment benefits and drop the minimum wage back to the $5.15 an hour set by a Republican Congress in 1997 and signed into law by Democratic President Clinton. This is a proven winner that would cut federal spending by about $120 billion per annum (the cost of extended benefits) and the newly employed workers would increase revenues to Social Security, Medicare and the like.
Cut minimum wage
